The Royal Regiment of Artillery, commonly referred to as the Royal Artillery (RA) and colloquially known as “The Gunners”, is one of two regiments that make up the artillery arm of the British Army.

The RA cap badge depicts a muzzle-loading gun on the ground facing left. The rammer is resting against the wheel, and above this is a scroll bearing the motto “Ubique” (Everywhere) upon which the Imperial (King’s) crown is resting. Below all is an elaborate scroll bearing the motto Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt.
